Krill shrimp are small crustaceans that mainly inhabit the cold waters of the Antarctic and North Pacific oceans. They contain DHA, EPA, and astaxanthin. Krill oil is known as the best source of essential fatty acids due to its high bioavailability and ORAC value. High bioavailability


EPA and DHA in krill shrimp oil are linked together in a similar way to the oil in human fat cells. Therefore, the fatty acids in krill shrimp oil are absorbed much better than those in fish oil.


Due to the high absorption rate known as "bioavailability," the recommended amount of krill shrimp oil for daily intake is small. Compared to fish oil, the recommended amount of krill shrimp oil for the same amount of omega-3 is only half, and since there is no "fishy aftertaste" in krill shrimp oil, it is highly digestible.
